Pluvicto

Pluvicto (lutetium Lu 177 vipivotide tetraxetan) is a targeted radioligand therapy used for treating prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-positive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Pluvicto represents an important advance in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer, with clinical trials demonstrating improved survival outcomes for eligible patients. It is indicated for adult patients who have been treated with androgen receptor pathway inhibitor (ARPI) therapy and have received taxane-based chemotherapy, or who are considered appropriate candidates to delay taxane-based chemotherapy.

Pluvicto combines a radioactive isotope (lutetium-177) with a PSMA-targeting ligand. When administered, the ligand binds to PSMA-expressing cancer cells, delivering radiation directly to the tumor and helping to destroy cancer cells while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissues.

It is administered by intravenous infusion (IV) over approximately 30 minutes and is given once every six weeks for up to six doses. Patients will need imaging tests (PSMA PET scan) before treatment to confirm PSMA expression in tumors.

Our healthcare team follows a comprehensive evaluation process to determine if Pluvicto is the right treatment for you. This decision is based on several key factors, including your medical history, cancer progression, prior treatments, and overall health status. We are proud to offer this innovative treatment option and are here to guide you through every step of the process.
